Beach

We took the girls to the beach for an hour or so on Sunday.  We also spent time at the beach on Friday but, to my dismay, I forgot my camera!

Jessica loves playing in the sand and I am relieved to say that she doesn't eat it anymore. 

This little puppy really liked Jessica, she kept trying to feed him sand.

Allison enjoys just about everything that life has to offer, especially if it looks like big sister is enjoying it.  Allison's thighs are so chunky that I think they might actually be bigger than Jessica's.  Allison is wearing size 4 diaper now, Jessica is in size 5.

 Jessica stood on the shore and felt the waves pull the sand out from under her feet, it was fun to watch.

Allison can sit up in a boppy now.

Here's a video I shot after dinner the other night.  I was trying to capture Allison laughing at Jessica's antics but I seem to have gotten a heart breaking scene of brownie envy.

Jessica likes to feed herself, and it's not usually this tidy.

As you can see, our living room looks like a toy truck took a dump in it. But, besides that, this video is cute because Allison is being inspired to jump by her big sister.

Zoo

We went to the Gulf Breeze Zoo on Friday because the weather was beautiful, Joe had the day off work and Jessica loves animals.  Allison seemed to enjoy the zoo just as much, if not more than Jessica.  We didn't hear a peep out of her the entire time.  I knew she was excited when she kicked her powerful little legs.

 Never before seen in captivity, here is the binky gorilla.

Jessica wore her monkey leash for a little while, she didn't seem to mind it.

 This zoo has a pretty sizable petting zoo and you can feed most of the animals and that makes it a lot of fun.

Giraffes are one of Jessica's favorite animals.  She doesn't know what sound they make so she says "neck" when she sees them.

 Don't worry, the goat didn't bite her.  The only thing that bit her was a caterpillar and she took care of that little nuisance herself.

I put in 50 cents and all of the sudden there is a swarm of kids on the ponies... that made the ride all the better for Jess.

These little birds are so much fun, we could spent all day in their enclosure.  Some of the more feisty ones were nipping.  I am glad none of them nipped Jess because they might have ended up like that poor caterpillar.

I have been working out with a group of moms every Mon, Wed and Fri down by the seawall.  My friend, Jenny, organized a group on facebook and it's called Stroller Burn.  So far there is at least a dozen members that go regularly.

Allison LOVES her jungle jumper.  I guess the love of exercise runs in the family.

Jessica's First Ring Pop

We went to a little girls' birthday party this past Saturday. Jessica got to try out her new swimsuit (she was the first one in the pool of course) and also discovered the wonderous wonderfulness of a ring pop. The ring pop turned her mouth green and she enjoyed checking herself out in the mirror when she was finished.

Easter Sunday

We celebrated Easter in Niceville with Megan, Steve, Nathan, Kathryn, Lady, Paw Paw, Laura and Mace. Joe drove with Mustang along the scenic route so he could drop it off at Megan's for storage (Thank you Megan and Steve!). Now I can park my luxury van in our carport, where it belongs. Lady decided to take the Stang for a quick spin and that was not OK with Kathryn and Jessica. Paw Paw found himself holding onto two very distraught little girls as Joe and Martha drove away. The kids had an egg hunt and the eggs were filled with chocolate. So, of course, Jessica opened all the eggs and ate all the chocolate. And, when the eggs had all been hunted, she started taking eggs out of Nathan and Kathryn's baskets. If she found an egg with no chocolate she would say uh oh and toss it and grab another. The eggs and chocolate weren't the best part of the day for Jessica though. Nathan will always have the top spot in Jessica's eyes. She follows him every where and hugs him every chance she gets. Megan and Nathan showed us a new game they invented, it's called "Baby Allison". That is why there is a picture of Megan carrying Nathan on her front in a beach towel, because Allison is always in my momba wrap. We also celebrated Nathan's 5th Birthday on Sunday and his Star Wars themed cake turned everyone's mouth blue. We all had a ton of fun, as you can see, the pictures and videos speak for themselves.
