Pretty Girls

We are desperately trying to keep up with our adorable daughters. I should mount a camera holder to my arm so that it is ready when ever they do something cute. I always seem to catch the tail end and miss it.

Jessica saw a little boy wearing a monkey harness on the playground last week and she chased him around trying to pull the tail. She was delighted when I pulled an identical monkey out of the closet. She brings us the monkey and makes us put it on... and yes, those are her pink cowgirl boots (she made us put those on her too).

She is getting teeth left and right. Too bad she won't sit still long enough to count how many teeth she has! Earlier today I caught her biting her nails (I guess it's been a while since I've clipped them). Two babies, two monitors.

Allison fast asleep in the "Black Momba".

Allison practicing her hand eye coordination in the floor gym.

Alli has been fussing a lot at night. One particular night I gave up and handed her to daddy... I was amazed that he calmed her down doing what he does best: watching football.

Our Christmas on Christmas

We spent Christmas at the Meissner's with Lady and Paw Paw. I didn't put up a tree this year so at least Jessica got to try to pull the lights off of Aunt Megan's tree. Here's Jess opening a present for Alli. Nathan got a remote control helicopter for Christmas but it turned out to be a gift for Uncle Steve. We all watched nervously... the helicopter crashes a lot. You can see that Aunt Megan got a new camera too.

Here's a candid shot of the presents being opened. Here's a cute picture of Kathryn talking Lady into letting her hold Allison.Kathryn got a whole living room set of Tinkerbell furniture for Christmas and it was a huge hit. Nathan and Kathryn also got a bounce house for Christmas. Jessica had a blast playing with all of her cousins' gifts. This year she got to celebrate Christmas twice, it was pretty awesome.

Here are two videos of the kids in the bounce house.

Here's a video of Joe playing ring around the rosie with Jess and Kat. They just can't wait to fall down.

Early Christmas

We celebrated Christmas at our house a week early this year. Don't worry, Jessica will get another Christmas celebration at her cousins house on Christmas. Last Saturday, Joe's squadron had a family Christmas party in the hangar. Santa, Mrs. Claus and a couple elves flew in on a T-1 and handed out presents to the kids. Here's Jessica pointed out "Tanta" to daddy. Before Santa arrived I practiced sitting in Santa's chair with the girls... here's how that turned out.I think we had our little toddler pretty worn out by the time Santa's lap was ready for pictures. She wasn't scared of Santa, but she wasn't about to sit still for more than 10 seconds.Luckily we had Lady with us to hold Allison while I chased Jessica around. And watched as she greedily shoved approximately 6 grapes in her mouth all at the same time.We tried to get some family pictures taken while we had the girls dressed up cute...I think this is the best one. Here's a few pictures of the girls getting dressed before the party. On Sunday we let Jessica open her presents early. She opened a package from her Uncle Eric and Aunt Shawna and she had so much fun opening that one that we couldn't wait for Christmas for her to open more. She had fun playing with the first couple of presents but threw a tantrum when daddy tried to make her open more. Daddy and Lady tried to set up J's new princess tent while her and Bunker climbed in and out of it... I think Bunker has as much fun in the Princess tent as Jessi.

Top toy this year has got to be the slide. Our little honey badger plays and plays on her new slide. She goes down the slide every way imaginable and even ways you can't imagine on accident. When she falls down she just shakes it off and goes right back at what ever she was attempting to do.

Here's Allison's present from Lady and Paw Paw, a little chair.I think she likes it.And, I think big sister likes it too. Here are some videos of Jessica opening presents and playing with her slide.

A Week with Lady

This is a blog all about Lady's week in Pensacola. Lady flew in to help me with the girls for a week while I got into the hang of being a mommy of two. Here's an adorable picture of Alli with her eyes open, she is sleeping in most of the other pictures. Here's a couple pictures of Lady with the girls.Alli likes her floor gym.Jessica loved Lady's frog pajamas and Allison loved to sleep on them. Lady got Jessica some new hair clips since her hair is starting to get in her eyes. Here's a couple cute pictures of Joe with his girls.

And one of me with my new baby girl.Alli sleeping. Here's some evidence of Jessica being Jessica. I tried to put Alli in a port-a-bed in the corner of the living room and Jessica climbed in it with her.Getting into my craft closet with her ever faithful sidekick, Bunker.Running around like a crazed toddler at the Portrait Innovations Studio during her 18 month photo shoot. And here are some videos of Jessica acting, well I don't know how to describe it, see for yourself.

We had Lady talk Megan into bringing Nate and Kate over for a Friday afternoon, we just couldn't wait till Christmas. Kathryn still liked holding Allison. And, lucky Alli got kisses from both cousins.

Jessica saw Kathryn on the swing and had to get in with her.Jessica was happier to be in the swing with Kathryn than Kathryn was. Kathryn tolerated it and then politely asked to get down... then she demanded that Jessica get down to.Here's a video of the girls swinging.

Lady finished off her week with us by giving Alli a nice warm bath the night before she left.
I have a Christmas blog on the way so stay tuned.
