Allison's New Skills

Allison started growling... it scares me more than Jessica's scary monster bit.
Do we need to start this girl on piano lessons?

Yep, she is officially crawling.  All the time.  No toy of Jessica's is safe from her chubby little fingers and drooling mouth.

Sitting Sipper and Scary Monster

Just had to share this minute out of our day today.  I have the most awesome kids in the world!

Visitors

Nathan, Kathryn and Paw Paw came over for a visit on Sunday.  We were so happy to see them.  Jessica has been saying, "I miss Nathan" and, sometimes she'll even throw in an, "I miss Kathryn".  I had the princess tent sent up in the living room and we made a fort in Jessica's bedroom too.  As you can see from the pictures and videos, we had a blast, as usual.

We went to the pool today.  I snapped a picture of Jess at snack time and one of the girls as we were leaving.  I hope to get more pictures at the pool, its been raining a lot here lately.  Jessica loves swimming and Allison loves splashing.

Little Angels

We went to The Hangout, it's a restaurant in a resort town on the coast of Alabama.  It's about a 45 minute drive from our place.  It was so hot that we took the girls' shirts off.  Jessie's cheeks were still flushed.  There was plenty of sand to play in while she ate her french fries.

Here's what the outfits looked like on.

Jessica has a very funny impression of my angry face... it's not flattering at all.  It's the same face she uses when she turns into a monster and chases me and little sister around.
Jessica likes to fake burp while driving in the car.  I hear her making a cracking noise with her throat and then I hear, "I burped!"

Chuck E Cheese's

Lady and Paw Paw had the fabulous idea of taking Jess to Chuck E Cheese's.  I am starting to wonder what took me so long to introduce her to that giant mouse.
It was love at first sight... for Jessica.

Daddy introduced Jessica the proper way to play Skee Ball...
But Jessica prefered to play by her own rules!

J enjoyed this frog game.
The Barney train was the biggest hit though (besides Chuck E of course.)

Jess enjoys watching the animatronic show too.

At the end of the day Jess turned in her tickets.

And picked out a squiggly straw and a whistle.

Daddy and Paw Paw had to have a basketball tournament too.

I was reminiscent of the pied piper while watching my daughter follow a giant mouse around... only this is a strange reversal of that.

We went to Chuck E Cheese's four times last week and I've already promised my little girl that we will go there tomorrow.  She asked to go there all weekend.  She says, "I miss Chuck E Cheese".

Chattanooga Aquarium

We took the girls up to the aquarium in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  It is the largest freshwater aquarium in the world and a pretty big saltwater one as well.
Jess had fun counting the baby fishes.

I am pretty sure Jess had the time of her life.

J's arms weren't long enough to pet the sting rays but she managed to splash in the water... and through her sippy cup in the tank... they looked thirsty.

My girls have been falling asleep in their car seats a lot lately...
Can you find the baby underneath all those stuffed animals?

Here's a video of Alli awake and she is talking to that cute baby in the mirror.
These Jellyfish were out of this world.

These were the most boring penguins I've ever seen... except for the cute one swimming around.  We must have caught them in the middle of nap time.

This octopus was ominous.

If you listen carefully, you can hear Jess say, "giant crab" in this video.

Jess loves to sing, dance and go upside down.

Yellow Toe Nails

People that know Jessica are going to be amazed at this blog post.  Yes, I am painting her toe nails and she is sitting still for it!  Her cousin Kathryn might not be able to get her to wear high heals but they now share a love of pedicures.

Yellow is Jessica's favorite color... that's why I bought the shirt that I am wearing in the pictures.

Lady pampered Jessica some more by adding sparkels.  Here are a couple videos.

Playing at Lady and Paw Paw's Place

Funny how Alli will eat for people who aren't mommy...

Baby Al likes to do pull ups.  That's a strong baby.

Kids table.

These kids sure had fun eating the popsicles that Lady made for them.
I love how long Kathryn is willing to hold her smile and say cheese for the camera.

Alice in Wonderland (what Nathan calls her) got to show off her water splashing skills in her seal tub.

This video shows why both my little girls totally love their Aunt Megan.

Peach Tree Road Race

The Peach Tree Road Race is an annual 10K run held on the 4th of July in Atlanta.  Joe signed us up to run it this year.  I opted out because in needed to stay with Allison, maybe next year.  Too bad they don't allow jogging strollers.  The girls and I joined Nathan, Kathryn, Lady, Paw Paw and Aunt Ruth at a water station near the midway point that Aunt Ruth volunteers at every year.  Joe found us and stopped for some photos.

Megan ran too. Nathan got to hand his mommy some water when she stopped.

Jessica ran around all morning, she didn't care that she was sleep deprived.
Allison was thankful for Lady's lap.

Kathryn played too but she had a good thing going with Paw Paw.

This is the view from Aunt Ruth's water station.

There was a DJ set up right next to the water station and they were playing music all morning.  The music was intoxicating, Jessica and I couldn't help ourselves, we danced our hearts out.  Here are some videos.  The first one is funny because Nathan is trying to talk to Jessica with his butt and she mimics him a little but is totally oblivious.  Jessica is dancing in all the videos.
