US Gold Gymnastics

A couple weeks ago we met the Meissners and Lady at the US Gold Gymnastics in Miramar Beach for a fun filled rendezvous.   Megan thought that the gym would be right up Jessica's alley.  I was glad there was lots of padding too.

You can see most of the gym when I pan out in this video. (Yes, that is Alli squealing in the video. She is strapped to the front of me, as usual, right below the camera.)

Allison let Lady hold her for a few minutes before demonstrating her pooty face that says, "mama hold me right now or I will do something drastic!"  She does that to everyone that tries to hold her lately, it's a phase she's going through.  I had to capture it on video so that I could show her when she is a teenager how much she once needed me.  She goes all out with tears and everything.  The funny part comes when I pick her up, she looks back at who ever was just holding her and smiles.

True to form, Jessica couldn't just play with the stuff she was suppose to play with.  She spent about ten minutes at the water fountain...
then she found some stairs...

and tried some cones on for size (it was like she was shopping for accessories in a department store).

Water break.

Lady finally got to enjoy Allison when she fell asleep while we ate lunch.

Here are a few more videos from the gym:

Practicing Mama

I knew Allison's first word would be mama!  She said it very clearly a few times today but she has been practicing it very hard.  Here are three videos of her practicing:

I told Joe that Allison would say mama first weeks ago, it is the one word she hears all day long.  Daddy didn't stand a chance.  Jessica said daddy first but they are both mama's little girls.  Allison's next word will be no.  Jessica says no no mama/ no no daddy to EVERYTHING.

Miscellaneous

Here's a blog with a collection of random stuff from our adventures since my last post.  Jessica loves to ride the choo choo at the Mall and it has become a necessary stop any time we are on that side of town.  She knows when we are near the Mall and she asks to ride the choo choo.

Allison enjoys the choo choo as much as Jessica.

My little girls are sooooo sweet when they sleep and I love the calm feeling I get when I watch them, so here are a couple pictures of my angels sleeping... enjoy.

Bath time is also very precious.  My chubby little mermaid.

My silly little mermaid.

Holding hands.

We went back to the blueberry farm for something to do.

I pick the blueberries and Jessica eats them.

Allison picks the leaves.

Here's a big dirt pile the kids found to play on, Jessica got filthy.

We got to feed the chickens, Jessica tried to grab them... so did Alli.
Here's a video of one of our weekly Wednesday bounce house parties.

I heard Allison cracking up so I grabbed the video camera.  I found Jessica sling-shotting Allison in her bouncy seat, Allison stopped giggling when the camera came out though.

Spinning is Jessica's new favorite game.  I think we get dizzy before she does, it keeps her happy though.

Blueberry Pickers

Today we went to the Hillcrest blueberry patch to pick some blueberries and sample some of their home made ice cream.
We went with my running buddy, Hillery, and her two sons.

Jessica got to hold her own bucket... as long as she felt like it.  She kept turning it over and using it as a drum.  I didn't think we were going to get very many blueberries because she kept eating them and turning the bucket over.

They don't just have blueberries.  They have fresh eggs, squash, honey, etc.

It was a hot day, as it usually is in Florida, and Jessica decided the stroller looked like a pretty good deal after a little while.  Sorry, no pictures of me and Alli.  I had Alli strapped to the front of me, as usual, and I forgot to have Hillery snap a picture of us.  Allison was picking too, she just kept getting leaves and they didn't taste as good as the blueberries.

We managed to pick a pound and it only cost us one dollar.  Yay for us!  I am going to freeze some for smoothies.

Splash Park and More

We went to the Splash Park on Tues and Thurs this week.  After seeing how much Alli wanted to be involved on Tues I brought her bumbo seat along on Thurs.  I could have left her in that seat next to that water spout for hours and she would have been perfectly happy.

Alli is like a magnet for other kids, I wonder if it's going to stay that way?

Last Saturday we went to a birthday party and Jessica picked out her own cupcake, it had blue frosting.

Sometimes I have to bounce both of my girls on the bouncy ball, that's over 53 lbs of bouncing babies!

I've been working out in the mornings with my friends and it seems to be a pretty good work out for my little girls too.
Jessica always wants to know where baby sister is when she wakes up in the mornings.
Jessica loves to go into my bathroom and steal floss and use my electric toothbrush.  Some times it is hard to get her out of my bathroom.
Joe is going to have a fit when he sees how much floss she wasted.  He is very sparing with his floss, I don't know how he even keeps a grip on it.  I don't buy the cheap brand.  She is just so quick and she wanted to get it herself.

Short and Sweet

Aunt Megan spent the night last Friday night because her and Joe signed up for a 5K at Pensacola Beach Saturday morning.  It was pouring rain all morning and the run was cancelled because of the lightening.  I bet they would have had excellent run times though.

Here is a picture of me snuggling with the girls while we watch Winnie the Pooh.

Jessica demanded that Aunt Megan bounce her on the ball, a game we can thank Meema for inventing.  She is quite persistent and I had been bouncing her all day but she wanted nothing to do with me or daddy when Aunt Megan showed up.  I had a really cute video of Aunt Megan bouncing Jess on the ball and another video of Allison picking through Aunt Megan's purse when she wasn't looking but I couldn't load either of them. Bummer.

Little Bouncers

Grandpa Jim and Grandma Kari got Jessica a bounce house for her 2nd birthday.  Thank you! (From the whole neighborhood!)  Jessica threw a bounce house party at our place yesterday afternoon and it was a ton of fun.  So much fun, in fact, that we are going to be hosting a bounce house party every Wednesday afternoon from now on.

Sometimes I had to step in and break it up when the toddlers got too violent... I am serious... but this video is pretty tame:

Cute pic I snapped just after Jessica's nap.

Daddy and his mini me.

Jessica is obsessed with her little Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals.  She makes me put on the Pooh movie and she gathers all her little animals around her to watch it.

Here's a cute video of Allison using big sister's sippy cup, she really thinks she's getting away with something!
