First off, settle in nice and cozy because this is a very long post. Jessica had another grandparent show up this past week and if you're counting, that makes 4 within the past month. She is a very lucky little girl!
This time it was Mooma's turn We'd been counting down the days to Mooma's visit and it was finally here. I have to share this video of Jess in her car seat on the ride to the airport to pick up Mooma, it's like she new that something cool was about to happen.
Jess dressed up in her overalls and was ready for Mooma as soon as she got off the plane.

We stopped by our standard "after airport pickup" restaurant, Steak n' Shake, and fed Mooma to keep her strength up for the tiring week ahead.

When we got back the Crescent, we gave Mooma a tour. This is right outside our building.

Don't these two girls just look so pleased with each other.

Mooma and Jess were like Siamese twins all week. Wherever Mooma went, Jess was along for the ride. Here they are in the creepy attic.

And our dungeon/laundry room.

Feeding time

And bath time

Mooma logged in some long hours with the front loader this week. Joe described her as tireless when it came to Jessica.

On Sunday we took Mooma to Pensacola Beach to check it out... It was a first for Mooma
and Jess.

It was a beautiful day but not as warm as Joe is making it look.

As the week wore on, the weather turned wonderful and we took several walks around base. This was along the bayfront.

In the track field behind our house.

Mooma and Jess posing for a picture before the walk commenced.

We did some shopping too. We got a bunch of cute clothes for Jess.
We ate at Red Robin for lunch and Mooma snatched a pretty new balloon for Jess to play with. It was her first experience with a balloon and as the pic show, she went crazy over it.

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

And, a few days later, Joe and I went to
The Melting Pot for our anniversary. Thank you Grandpa Jim and Grandma Kari, it was truly a wonderful evening that Joe and I will never forget.

The steam from the fondue pot made me look mysterious and Joe took a picture.

There were four courses: Cheese dip, Salad, Lobster/Filet Mignon and Dessert. As you can see, Joe couldn't wait to dig in before getting a pic of his salad.

Actually we went out to dinner four times this week, it seemed like every night was date night (except for the nights that Joe had to work late). We took full advantage of having Mooma here for the week. Jessica didn't seem to mind.

Jessica is showing off her daddy hazing skills in this video. I think she's going to be a hairdresser when she grows up.
It was hard letting Mooma go back to California today but we sent her off with a bang. Even though Jess has had a pretty nasty cold for the past few days, we spent most of the morning playing in the park in our neighborhood. Jessica absolutely loves playing on all the equipment and she forgot about her cough for a while.
