On Good Friday we met Lady, Paw Paw, Nathan and Kathryn at the Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile, AL.
It was a well manicured nature walk adventure. The kids got to climb trees, rocks, lion statues and fountains. Kathryn even stopped to smell the roses (Jessica was too excited to stop and Nathan was happy to lounge in the stroller).
Even though there were even numbers (4 adults/4 children), it still felt like we were outnumbered, especially since the kids kept playing musical chairs with us. We were all starving when we got finished exploring so we hit up the closest McDonalds and that was an adventure too. It's amazing that only one Sprite was spilled.
I don't know if there is a field big enough to fulfill Jessica's desire to run but this one was pretty big.
Jessica reminds me of Aunt Lindsay when she was little, absolutely fearless.
It is ironic that we drove all the way to Mobile to see gardens when we could have gone to any building with a water fountain. hee hee.

Oh my gosh those are the cutest pictures and videos! The 4 little cousins are so adorable together. It's funny that in every video Jessi is taking off, finding the next thing, pushing the envelope! Maybe she'll be an astronaut someday, what an amazing little girl. And Allison is unbearably cute. I love the way they all interact together. What a delightful blog, I love it!
We did have a great day with the grandkids.
The people on the bridge are staring at the group with all the kids. You know everybody probably thought all 4 kids were yours since you were the only age appropriate kid couple around!
What a nice park. It looked like Jessica wanted to go swimming with those goldfish. Nathan was cute heading Jessica off at the pass. Kathryn looked like she was having a lot of fun too. That was funny what a big kick they got out of the water fountains. That is one of the joys of having children. They remind us of those simple things that make you smile.
