Allison's Baptism
Last weekend we drove up to Marietta for Allison's Baptism. The six hour car ride was more like an eight hour ride and every bit as complicated as you would expect from a road trip with a two month old and a twenty month old. We survived and managed to get some more great pictures for the blog. Jessica loves having Allison right next to her in the car. She shares her stuffed animals and her bottles. Jess was in a snuggly mood so she held Alli's hand for a bit.
When we got to Georgia the whole Haggerty crew was there to celebrate Allison's baptism. Incredibly, all the great grandchildren sat still and yelled cheese for a priceless photo opp with Great Grandma Gerken.
Martha made Joe's favorite meal, butterfly porkchops, and still managed to find time to hold Allison.
Lady wasn't the only one who got a chance to hold the guest of honor.
Jessica saw Great Grandma Gerken holding Allison and decided that she needed a turn too.
Lookout Jessica, there's competition for cousin Nathan's affection!
Allison was excited to get baptized and be the center of attention.

But, after the pastor accidently got some water in her eyes, she screamed like it was the most horrible thing in the world. (You can see the worried look on Joe's face and Nathan holding his worried little hand on his head too.) The rest of the congregation was laughing.
Nathan comforted Alli and held her while she slept for the rest of the service.
Here's a family shot with the pastor.
And at the front of the church.

I love the videos of Jessica and Allison! I can see the bond already. They are so adorable together.
I just got to see this latest blog and enjoyed it on this rainy friday night. Loved the video of Jessica downing the coffee and giving Allison her pacifier after sampling it to make sure it was okay. You got some great family pictures. Allison looked so cute in her babtism gown. That first picture of Jessica holding on to Allisons hand is adorable. Thank you for the new blog. And sorry I missed its unveiling. Been a busy week ! Have a great weekend all.
