Joe came to California for our final week and we managed to show him a good time. Playtown USA is a park that I use to go to as a kid. Yep, I rode the Yogi and drank from the lion fountain. Jessica met a cute little pug dog that she got to pet. The ice cream man showed up and we all got ice cream. Jess and I got push pops... I should have gotten just one for us to share.
The animal sanctuary was pretty neat too. We got to see lions, tigers and bears really close up... oh my! I think Jessica's favorite were the parrots and the horned owls. I think the parrots were checking her out as much as she was checking them out.

Jessi loved the parrots better than anything! She was such a good sport, even though she was coming down with a cold and didn't feel her best.
I remember the lion, but I will be darned if I can remember where that park is. The sactuary looks like a lot of fun. Is that the one in Chico ? Glad Jessica had a good time. Looked like the ice cream went over very well.
